Ashapura to build Kutch refinery

NEW DELHI: The Gujarat Government has selected the Ashapura group for promoting and implementing the one million tonne alumina refinery in Kutch district of the State.

The original decision taken by the State Government, it may be recalled, was challenged in the Gujarat High Court by an American corporation.

Pursuant to the court's directive in June, it was left to the Chief Minister to take a final decision with the condition that it would be binding on both parties and no further litigation would be permitted.
