Environment awareness programme to be organised on October 28

BANGALORE: To create awareness among people about conservation of environment and convey the message that "green is clean," the Salarpuria Group will organise an environment awareness programme on October 28.

The programme will include a jatha and a Yakshagana titled "Malinya Rakshasha."

It will take off at 3 p.m. on that day from Salarpuria Arena situated at Adugodi on Hosur Road, Koramangala (next to Forum Mall) and will pass through Indiranagar, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Manipal Centre and culminate at Cubbon Park.

Spokesperson of Salarpuria Group P.K. Mishra told presspersons here on Thursday that the programme is an effort by the group to better environment and provide quality living and working conditions in Bangalore.

The Yakshagana, which will depict the disadvantages of environment pollution, will be staged during the programme, he said.
