Two die in road accident

BANGALORE: Two persons were killed and three were injured in a collision between a car and a multi-utility vehicle near Vjayapura in Bangalore Rural district on Friday midnight.

The police said the drivers of the two vehicles were killed on the spot. They were identified as Vikram (34) and Anand (35). The injured were admitted in a hospital here and they are out of danger.

The multi-utility vehicle was coming towards Bangalore from Chickaballapur and the car was going in the opposite direction, they said. The Vijayapura police have registered a case and seized the two vehicles.

Motorcyclist killed

Venkateshappa (50) was killed on the spot when a BMTC bus hit his motorcycle on Tumkur Road, off MEI factory, around 7 p.m. on Friday.
