BANGALORE: The announcement on Monday of the Rajyotsava awards has led to fresh bickering in the coalition government with the Bharatiya Janata Party expressing resentment over the manner in which the selections were made. BJP State President D.V. Sadananda Gowda, MP, on Tuesday said his party was unhappy with the way in which the Janata Dal (Secular) had made the selections. Mr. Gowda told The Hindu here that the JD(S) had not followed the guidelines the two parties had jointly worked out for selecting the award-winners. "We have no qualms about the people who have been selected. What has dissatisfied us is the method followed by the JD (S) in making the selections. We are unhappy that they have completely ignored our suggestions," the BJP leader remarked.
