UK universities to interact with students this month

CHENNAI: Campus Abroad, a consultant for education, will be hosting representatives of universities or institutions from the United Kingdom, who are coming to Chennai to interact with and interview students here in November.

Universities

Martin Howarth, School of Engineering, Computing and Media; and Tony Fowler, School of Hospitality, Tourism and Business, Sheffield Hallam University; will meet students on November 6 between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Sheffield Hallam, one of the largest universities in the U.K., offers a number of masters' courses in association with major companies that bring together advanced academic study with professional industry certification and training delivered by experts.

Deborah Knight from Holborn College will be counselling and interviewing students on November 10 between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Courses offered for January or February 2007 include MBA, M.A. International Business, LLM Law of International Trade, and LLB.

Janet Shead and Sangeeta Singh from Leeds Metropolitan University will conduct student interviews on November 11 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Leeds Metropolitan University was given the `Higher Education Institution of the Year' award in 2006 by Times Higher Education Supplement.

It offers PG courses in MBA, M.A. International Business, M.A. International Trade and Finance, M.Sc. Management Consultancy, M.Sc. Accounting, M.Sc. Finance, M.Sc. Marketing, M.Sc. Management, M.A. Public Relations, M.A. Personnel and Development.
