BANGALORE: Folk dance and songs were the flavour of the day at The Hindu Young World Fest 2006 on Tuesday. Children in colourful attires presented group dance and folk dance at the Mangala Auditorium, NMKRV College, Jayanagar 3rd Block, on Tuesday. The effort put in by the participants was evident because they had carefully chosen the dress, song and the dance form. Children presented Punjabi, Goan, Kolata and folk dance forms of other regions. The judges had a tough decision to take as the performance of all the teams was good. The teams from Sri Rama Vidyalaya, Jakkur; Twinklers High School, Vijayanagar; St. Paul's English School, J.P. Nagar; Carmel School, Padmanabhanagar; Presidency School, Nandini Layout, Little Flower Public School, Banashankari; SSB International School, Indiranagar; and Sri Aravinda English School, Hassan, made it to the finals scheduled on November 9.
