Children have a brush with nature



IN THE RACE: Students participating in the interschool sports meet organised by Vagdevi Vilas School, Munnekolalu.

BANGALORE: Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Nagarjuna Vidyaniketan, Yelahanka, organised many programmes as part of its "Wildlife Week" celebrations. "Kids for Tigers" arranged a film show on wildlife and children were made aware of the importance of ecological balance.

Primary students were taken for a nature walk in a farm.

A science seminar was arranged for standard five and six students.

Sports meet

Vagdevi Vilas School, Munnekolaly, organised an inter-school sports meet recently. Cricketer Vijay Bharadwaj declared the meet open.

Over 700 students from 31 schools participated in the event.

Various track and field events were organised as part of the two-day meet.

Drill performance

MES Kishora Kendra, Malleshwaram, held its junior school sports day recently.

Children, under the gidance of teachers, performed a musical drill.

`Spoorti 2006'

Florence Public School, RT Nagar, will host "Spoorti 2006," an inter-school literary and cultural festival on November 18. Schools securing highest points will receive three rolling trophies each in the literary, cultural and overall categories.
