Robber gang busted, valuables recovered

ANANTAPUR : The Two Town police have busted a three-member robber gang and seized valuables worth Rs. 2.11 lakhs from their possession. The property recovered included two motorcycles, gold ornaments and silver items.

Giving details to newspersons here on Thursday, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Anantapur, G.S. Karunakar, stated that acting on tip-off, a team led by Circle Inspector John Manohar and Sub Inspector Prasad Reddy arrested the robbers in Vidyuth Nagar circle on Wednesday.

The arrested were K. Govindu of Bhanukota village in Kanaganapalli mandal, M. Venkatesh of Balasamudram village of Pavagada Taluka in Karnataka and K. Sekhar of Gandlaparthi in Rapthadu mandal.
