MUMBAI: Indian shuttlers Chetan Anand (ranked 30th in the world) and Saina Nehwal (32nd) are the elite players in the fray for the $10,000 Indian International badminton championship from November 14 to 17. V.K. Verma, Badminton Association of India (BAI) president, said this is one of the Asian Satellite events and has attracted individual entries from seven nations Denmark, South Korea, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal and Iran. India, apart from hosting the tournament at the Goregaon Sports Club indoor courts, will field 34 players. Chinese shuttlers are missing because of clash of dates with domestic tournaments, said Verma at a media briefing. National champion Anup Sridhar (38) and P. Kashyap (48) are the established names in the men's section. The women's section will see Trupti Murgunde (57), Aditi Mutatkar (109) and Jwala Gutta (185) in action. According to BAI, Zee Sports will telecast the semifinals and final live. Special Correspondent
