NMPT to join coastal SEZ

BANGALORE: The New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT), ranked seventh among the country's major ports, will be a part of the port-based Coastal SEZ (Special Economic Zone), which has been in the pipeline for the last three years after the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and industry (KCCI) came up with the idea for the economic development of Mangalore.

The NMPT Chairman P. Tamilvanan said this at a presentation to the members of the FKCCI here on Friday.
