Sri Shivalayam to develop database of talents in various fields

CHENNAI: Those aspiring to enter tinsel town need not hunt for opportunities anymore. Sri Shivalayam promises to help those aspiring for film careers by developing a database on fresh talents.

Conceived by M.B. Venkatesan, popularly known as `Crazy Venkatesh', Sri Shivalayam will develop an elaborate database of persons talented in fields such as acting, modelling, singing and scriptwriting. This database will be available for reference and use by the entertainment industry.

Mr. Venkatesh, a theatre artist in Crazy Mohan's drama troupe, has acted in about 4,500 stage plays.Sri Shivalayam was conceived as a show of gratitude to the film and theatre fraternity who stood by him when he went through rough times. Mr. Venkatesh recently suffered kidney failure and underwent a transplant surgery. The organisation will also offer services such as live sync audio, visual equipments, event management and investment opportunities for non-resident Indians in the film industry.

Talking about his venture, Mr. Venkatesh said, "I have learnt the intricacies of film making over the years through my stint as actor and associate director. This knowledge, along with technical advancements in the data sourcing field inspired me to do this."
