Inter-school nature quiz

CHENNAI : The third edition of Group for Nature Preservation and Education's (GNAPE) annual inter-school nature quiz will be held at AMM Matriculation School, Kotturpuram, on Saturday.

The quiz, meant to arouse curiosity about nature and environment among children, is being sponsored by the Cholayil Group of companies.

The quiz will begin with a written preliminary round consisting of 30 questions. Eight top-scoring teams will be selected for the finals, which will consist of seven rounds, including an audio and a visual round and one round specifically on Tamil Nadu. Each question round will have, at least, one audience question besides the questions passed on by the participating teams.

There is no restriction on the number of teams that can participate in the quiz. However, each team can have only two members. Prizes include a rolling trophy, Hercules cycles for the winning team, and in-kind merchandise from Rs.1,000 upwards sponsored by Viveks, Rex Fashions, Funskool, Music World, Cookieman, Odyssey and others.
