KOZHIKODE : The Rose Flower Show organised by the Kozhikode Horticultural Development Society in association with Kozhikode Corporation on the occasion of its 140th anniversary is attracting more people to the Town Hall. The show, which opened on November 11, will be on till November 14. It is being conducted to coincide with Children's Day.. M. Surendran, secretary, Kozhikode Horticultural Developmental Society and coordinator of the show said the primary objective was to popularise a rose culture. "The rose show held for the first time last year was a big draw. The society was conducting the show this year to coincide with the 140th anniversary of the Kozhikode Corporation. As a special gesture on Children's Day, about 5,000 school students will be given a rose each to symbolise Jawaharlal Nehru's association with the flower.
