Karnataka - Bangalore

For children

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: With just a day left for Children's Day, plans are afoot to make the day memorable for children. Schools across Bangalore are gearing up for the big day. Their playgrounds have become active areas for rehearsals. Cultural programmes have been lined up aplenty to make the day rock. Even builders have joined the bandwagon. Mantri, for instance, has organised activities at all its projects in the city. Named "Bunnies & Ponies," they are designed to get the residents of these places participate in a big way.

Children's Day at Mantri Elegance, for instance, is tailor-made for the young with minimal parental guidance. The celebration is split into two age groups, below 10 years and between 10 and 16 years. Puppet and magic shows are among the entertainment programmes organised. Competitive segments such as singing, dancing, painting, fancy dress, quiz and badminton competitions are being organised. Celebrations at Mantri projects will resemble a fête echoing with the laughter and footsteps of animated bodies. Faces and clothes dotted with paint, vivid attires, enthusiastic attitudes and artistic intellect at its infancy will be the order of the day. Children will have the opportunity to experience the world of magic, leaving their hearts filled with fun, says a Mantri official.

"Children's Day gives us a unique opportunity to create an environment for the children at Mantri projects to interact with each other," says Sushil Mantri, Chairman and Managing Director, Mantri Developers.
