Union Minister visits crafts mela

HYDERABAD: Union Minister of State for Rural Development Chandrasekhar Sahu attended the closing ceremony of the "rural crafts mela" at the National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) here on Sunday.

Addressing a meeting on the occasion, Mr. Sahu said his visit to NIRD was fruitful as it enriched his knowledge about rural development programmes.

NIRD Director General V.S. Sampath said the crafts mela was organised on an annual basis to coincide with the foundation day celebrations of the institution.
