Works executed by BMP inaugurated

BANGALORE: Deputy Mayor M. Lakshminarayana and Basavanagudi MLA K. Chandrashekar on Sunday inaugurated several development works executed by the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) in Srinagar.

These include naming of a park and playground after the city's founder Kempe Gowda.

While the playground on 80 ft road in Srinagar has been named "Kempe Gowda playground", the indoor stadium on the same road has been named "Kuvempu National Indoor Stadium".

The park near Srinagar bus stand has been named after writer B.A. Arasu Kumar.

This apart, a bus stand near Kalidasa Circle, the Narihalla bridge and Srinagar park were also inaugurated.
