A PRAYER ON THEIR LIPS: Children at a prayer meet seek the release of three-year-old Anant, who was abducted from Noida, on Children's Day in Allahabad on Tuesday.

NEW DELHI: Adobe senior vice-president Naresh Gupta, whose three-year-old son was kidnapped by two unidentified motorcycle borne men from near his Noida Sector 15-A residence on Monday, appealed to the media on Tuesday not to cover the incident as his child's life was in danger.

Mr. Gupta, who was on a trip to the United States, returned home early on Tuesday .

He requested the media not to report on the incident. "My son's life is in danger. The person in whose custody he is should not get scared. Please do not sensationalise the incident in the child's interest," he said, pleading to the kidnappers to return his child.

Anant, he said, had caused "no harm to anyone."

Meanwhile, in Anant's school, Children's Day was celebrated with a prayer for his safe release and his schoolmates, teachers and principal urged the kidnappers to set him free.
