HYDERABAD: The weeklong 81st birthday celebrations of Sathya Sai Baba commenced here at Shivam Temple on Friday. People gathered in large numbers for the inaugural day celebrations that included spiritual and cultural programmes. On the occasion, the Sathya Sai Seva Organisation organised a music concert by Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya and Subroto Bhattacharya apart from the seven-day free specialised medical camp for the downtrodden. Under the Narayana Seva programme, the organisation members offered free food to slum dwellers of Leprosy Colony, Moula Ali. The Mahila Vibhag also organised a special puja on the temple premises. Celebrations will conclude on November 23, the birthday of Sathya Sai Baba.
