THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: V. Vivek of Alappzuha hogged the limelight on the second day of the 37th Police athletic meet at the Chandrasekharan Nair stadium on Saturday. Vivek won four gold medals that included a record in the 110m hurdles. Vivek clocked 15.32 second to break Renjith's seven-year-old record (15.50) set in 1999. Vivek's other gold medals came in 400m hurdles (58.9s), High jump (1.88m) and pole vault (2.90m). Jayaraj (Ekm) and Maria Jose (Kannur) won a double each. Suresh Kumar of Palakkad won the cross country race. At the end of competitions on the second day, Kannur was leading the points tally with 93 points followed by Alappuzha (67) and Palakkad (35).
