SALEM: To highlight the importance of `child-friendly anganwadis' amid the stakeholders, representatives from various child welfare and non-governmental organisations, women's forum and educational institutions observed the `Anganwadi Day' by taking out an awareness rally here on Tuesday. Stressing the need for creating awareness among the public and parents about the essential components and services of anganwadis in moulding a child's health and nutrition particularly among the BPL families in towns and villages, the members insisted that November 21 should be observed as Anganwadi Day. The rally was organised by the Community Services Guild in association with Tamil Nadu Forum for Creche and Child Care Services.
