Birla Sun Life and Idea Cellular join hands

HYDERABAD : Birla Sun Life Insurance, a private insurance provider, and Idea Cellular, a cellular operator, announced that they have entered into a strategic alliance to provide value added services to their individual customer bases. The alliance was initiated through the launch of the `Group Term Insurance Cover,' under which pre and post-paid subscribers who were 18-35 years of age would get free life insurance at the click of a button, a release said. Subscribers could download a `dialer tone' from an exclusive bouquet created for the alliance, and after providing certain basic details over SMS, they would receive a free life insurance cover for one year, the release added.
