Bangalore: Christmas is coming closer, and carols and choirs cannot be far away. With the festive season on, the Cecilian Choir will perform on December 2 and 3 at the Good Shepherd Convent auditorium on Museum Road at 7.15 p.m. on both days. The Cecilian Choir will present a choral selection ranging from "One Voice" by Barry Manilow, a Frank Sinatra showpiece, and a two-choir arrangement by Robert Schumann, followed by a Christmas Cantata, "Journey to the Manger" by David Clydesdale.
Play
Woven into the music and enriching it will be a Christmas play directed by Bryan Nobbay. The choir will be conducted by Louise Pinto and Joan De Nazareth. Rebecca Thomas will accompany the singers on the piano and Juanity Jayant on the keyboard. Dominic D-Cruz will be on bass guitar, Santosh Victor on the drums and Dominic Saldanha on the saxophone. The chief soloist will be Oscar Menezes. The concert is sponsored by the TVS Motor Company, and the proceeds will go to St. Mary's Orphanage. Donor passes are available at the Brigade Road Supermarket, Lusitania Cold Storage, Sweet Chariot, E.L.S. Bookshop on St. John's Road and the Catholic Club on Museum Road.
