Demand recitation of `Vande Mataram' mandatory

ANANTAPUR: Activists of Rashtriya Sawayamsevak Sangh (RSS) took out a bicycle rally here on Saturday demanding implementation of death sentence to Afzal Guru, a terrorist involved in attack on Parliament.

They also demanded making recitation of national song `Vande Mataram' mandatory for everyone and to stop increasing religious conversions.

The activists also garlanded the idols of national leaders en route the rally.

Further, they criticised the Government's "inaction" on the increasing terrorist activities in the country including the entry of ISI agents into the armed forces.

The Government had not initiated any action in spite of the media and intelligence outfits reporting the matter.

They also criticised the Government for its stand on `Vande Mataram' and hailed the decision of the wife of a jawan who had sacrificed his life in taking on the terrorists attacking Parliament to return `Keerthi Chakra', if Afzal was pardoned.
