3 children drown

BELGAUM: Three children drowned in a water tank near Pant Balekundri village about 18 kilometres from here on Friday afternoon.

According to police, Juned Bande Nawaz (9), Niya Ahmed Ismalsaab Momin (9) and Sameer Feroz (7), all from Pant Balekundri, had gone for a swim in the Kempagere Kere, and drowned between 4 and 5 p.m. Marihal police and divers rushed to the spot.
