KSMTF chief refutes claims

ALAPPUZHA: T. Peter, president of the Kerala Swatantra Matsya Tozhilali Federation (KSMTF), has rejected the claim of a section of federation leaders that he had been unseated and Lal Koipparambil has been elected president of the organisation.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr. Peter said the State conference and election to the posts of office-bearers had not been held as claimed by Mr. Koipparambil. Mr. Peter said the conference would be held in Thiruvanamthapuram on December 2 and 3.

He said the majority of State committee members were with him.

The Thiruvanamthapuram and Kollam district committees were solidly behind him, he said.
