BANGALORE: Minister for Small Industries Shivananda Naik has said the Government had released Rs. 30 crore towards subsidy to small-scale industries. Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, he said the Government had to release the pending Rs. 226 crore subsidy to SSIs and that it would be done in a phased manner. The Government was committed to providing infrastructure for the small-scale sector and promoting small units in a big way. The new industrial policy focused on small units and the emphasis was on creating one-lakh new jobs for the unemployed youth each year.
