Two men loot pizzeria in Banashankari III Stage

BANGALORE: Two men on Wednesday night looted Rs. 24,000 in cash from a pizzeria in Banashankari III Stage after threatening the cashier with a knife.

The police said that posing as customers, the two men came to the pizzeria on Banashankari Ring Road around 11 p.m. and pointed a knife at cashier Sujesh. A scared Sujesh raised an alarm and took cover in the kitchen.

When the security guard Mahadevappa rushed in, the intruders assaulted him and looted cash from the cash box. The Channamanakere Layout police have registered a case.

Driver robbed

Four men assaulted the driver of a multi-utility vehicle and drove away the vehicle after robbing him of cash and a mobile phone in the early hours of Thursday.

The police said that around 12.30 a.m. Babu was returning to a software company in Mahadevapura after dropping its employees in Lingarajapuram. Four men stopped Babu on Old Madras Road and sought a lift.

After travelling some distance, the four men assaulted Babu and relieved him of Rs. 60 in cash and a mobile phone. On reaching Ramamurthynagar Ring Road, they pushed Babu out of the vehicle and sped away.

Chain snatched

Two men, who were riding a motorcycle, snatched a gold chain estimated at Rs. 30,000 from Nagamani (45) in Yelahanka police station limits on Wednesday. The police said the incident took place around 7.30 p.m. near Santhe Circle while Nagamani was walking towards her house in Surabhi Layout.
