49 officers graduate from Air Force Technical College

Bangalore: Forty-nine officers, including four women, graduated into the Indian Air Force at the Graduation Parade of 67th Aeronautical Engineering Course held at Air Force Technical College, Jalahalli West, on Friday.

The college is considered the alma mater of the aeronautical engineers for the IAF. Apart from Indian officers, 11 from the Air Forces of Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Ghana and Myanmar completed their training in the Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical) and Aeronautical (Electronic) streams. Air Marshal Yeshwant Rao Rane, Air Officer-in-Charge Personnel, Air Headquarters, reviewed the passing out parade. The President's Plaque for the Best All Round Officer was awarded to Flying Officer S. Krishnadas.

Flying Officer R. Guruprasad won the Vice-President's Sword of Honour for standing second in merit in the course.

The Chief of Air Staff Medal for the best Mechanical stream was awarded to Flying Officer Prashant Varma and in Electronics stream to Flying Officer Krishnadas.
