Three die in accident

TAMBARAM : Four persons were killed in separate accidents on the Chennai bypass road connecting Irumbuliyur and Madhuravoyal on Tuesday morning. At around 4 a.m. on Mudichur Road, a Tata Sumo vehicle and a tipper lorry collided head-on. Nine persons belonging to Soranjeri near Pattabhiram were returning home after taking part in the `Karthigai Deepam' in Tiruvannamalai, when a speeding lorry bound for Irumbuliyur ran amok. The Tata Sumo rammed into the lorry and all the nine occupants were injured.

They were rushed to the Government General Hospital in Chennai, where Damodaran, 28, and Chidambaram, 25, were pronounced dead. Yogeswaran succumbed to injuries.
