Special trains to clear extra rush

BANGALORE: South Western Railway will run special trains to clear extra rush.

Bangalore city-Ernakulam-Bangalore City super-fast tri-weekly special (0637/0638) will leave Bangalore city at 5.15 p.m. on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday and reach Ernakulam at 4.30 a.m. the next day.

In the return direction, Ernakulam-Bangalore city tri-weekly special will leave Ernakulam at 5 p.m. on Thursday and Saturday and reach Bangalore city at 4.20 a.m. the next day. On Monday, this train (0644) will leave Ernakulam at 6.30 p.m. and reach Bangalore city at 7.15 a.m.

The first service from Bangalore city will commence on Friday and the last service will be on January 31.

The first service from Ernakulam will commence on Saturday and the last service will be on February 1.

The train will run from Bangalore city via Bangalore Cantonment, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarpet, Tirupattur, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palghat, Ottapalam, Trichur and Alwaye. The train will have a composition of one three-tier AC coach, 13 second-class sleeper coaches, two general second-class coaches and two second-class sitting-cum-luggage vans.

Nagercoil special

Bangalore City-Madurai-Nagercoil tri-weekly special (0647) will leave Bangalore city at 5.45 p.m. on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday and reach Madurai at 6.30 a.m. and leave the station at 6.35 a.m. and reach Nagercoil at 10.45 a.m.

Nagercoil-Madurai-Bangalore City tri-weekly special (648) will leave Nagercoil on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 3.30 p.m. and reach Madurai at 8.20 p.m. and leave at 8.30 p.m. and reach Bangalore city at 9 a.m. the next day.

The first service from Bangalore city will commence on December 10 and the last service will be on January 30.

The first service from Nagercoil will commence on December 11 and the last service will be on January 31.

The train will run from Bangalore city via Bangalore Cantonment, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, Erode, Karur, Dindigul, Kodaikanal Road, Madurai, Virudanagar, Satur, Kovilpatti, Vanchi Maniyachi, and Tirunelveli.

Bangalore City-Chennai Special (684) will leave Bangalore city at 11 p.m. on Friday and reach Chennai at 5.15 a.m. the next day.

In the return direction, Chennai-Bangalore city special (683) will leave Chennai at 11.30 p.m. on Saturday and reach Bangalore city at 5.55 a.m. the next day.

The first service from Bangalore city will commence on Friday and the last service will be on January 26.

The first service from Chennai will commence on Saturday and the last service will be on January 27.

The train will run from Bangalore city via Bangalore Cantonment, Krishnarajapuram, Whitefield, Bangarpet, Jolarpettai, Ambur, Katpadi, Arakkonam and Perambur.

Hubli-Yesvantpur-Kochuveli weekly express special (671) will leave Hubli at 1.45 p.m. on Tuesday and reach Yeshvantpur at 9 p.m. and leave at 9.30 p.m. and reach Kochuveli at 4.30 p.m. the next day.

Kochuveli special

Kochuveli-Yeshvantpur-Hubli weekly express special (672) will leave Kochuveli on Thursday at 12.45 p.m. and reach Yesvantpur at 7.25 a.m. and leave at 7.45 a.m. and reach Hubli at 5.30 p.m. the next day.

The first service from Hubli will commence on December 12 and the last service will be on January 30.

The first service from Kochuveli will commence on December 14 and the last service will be on February 1.

The train will run from Hubli via Haveri, Ranibennur, Harihar, Davangere, Birur, Arsikere, Tiputur, Tumkur, Yeshvantpur, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, Erode, Podanur, Palghat, Ottappalam, Trichur, Alwaye, Ernakulam, Kottayyam, Chenganacherri, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavalikera, Kayankulam, Quilon, and Varkala.
