CHENNAI: Shree Vidya Sagar Apparels Ltd., a Mumbai-based company, held an exhibition of their garments for local traders on Thursday. Kailash B. Lulla, agent for South India, said that although their brand `Essas Club' is retailed from local stores here, they are looking to expand their presence in Chennai. "Our garments are formal menswear. Most of the material is synthetic fabric imported from Korea, China and Taiwan. That is the advantage over the Tamil Nadu garment industry," he said. The Essas Club collection is updated every two months. This is another advantage, said Mr. Lulla. They manufacture suits, sherwanis, formal and cotton trousers, and kurta sets. The collection is on display at the business centre at Hotel Residency Towers, T. Nagar till December 8.
