CHENNAI: Coinciding with the music season in Chennai, the 23rd music festival discount sale was inaugurated at the Sankara Hall, Alwarpet on Thursday. Managing Director of The Hindu , N. Murali, cut the ribbon to mark the inauguration of the exhibition, which will be open till January 1. M. Saravanan and M.S. Guhan, film producers, and M. Murali of Krishna Sweets were among those present. Organised by AVM Audio, the exhibition features over 10,000 varieties of audio cassettes, CDs, VCDs, DVDs and CD-ROMs.
Variety
Carnatic music, film songs and religious songs and famous Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada cassettes are for sale. About 100 companies from all over the country are participating. More than one lakh pieces have been kept for sale. A minimum of 10 per cent discount will be allowed, said AVM Sound Zone manager K. Viswanathan. The exhibition will be open from 10 a.m. to 8.30 p.m.
