Gold medal awarded to former DGP

ANANTAPUR: Justice Challa Kondaiah Memorial Gold Medal for excellence and nobility was presented to retired Director General of Police Roddam Prabhakar Rao by High Court Judge C.Y. Somayajulu at a function held here on Saturday.

Besides, the Challa Kondaiah Charitable Trust also presented scholarships of Rs. 5,000 each to two meritorious students. The scholarships were given to law student C. Gunadeepa and Intermediate student Rohini.

District Judge K. Gaddenna, DIG of Anantapur N. Jayarami Reddy, Bar Association president B. Haranath, senior advocate B.C. Obulesappa and members of the trust also participated in the programme.

The trust also presented a computer with CD-ROMs of important legal decisions to the Bar Association of Anantapur.
