Pakistani to be deported

KOZHIKODE: An India-born Pakistan citizen was arrested at Beypore here on Tuesday on charges of violating visa norms.

Haji Mohammed (76), son of Hassain, was kept under police surveillance after interrogation. He would be deported as soon as the District Collector issued an order, Police Commissioner Balram Kumar Upadhyay said. Mohammed, who left for Karachi several years ago, was issued a visa only to visit Mysore in Karnataka. But he went directly to Kozhikode. However, no case had been registered against him, Mr. Upadhyay said.
