A `pack house' near airport

Special Correspondent

JAIPUR: Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Tuesday laid the foundation of a "pack house" at the terminal market in Muhana near Sanganer airport here. The pack house, to come up over an area of 1,315 sq metres at a cost of Rs.3.81 crores, will facilitate processing and preservation of vegetables and fruits prior to their export from Rajasthan.

Ms. Raje said the State Government had always kept the interests of the farmers in mind in its policies and programmes. Various initiatives had benefited the farming community in the State, she claimed. The small and marginal farmers who set up green houses in their farms would be provided 75 per cent of their investment as grant by the Government, she said.

Ms. Raje announced establishment of another pack house at Chomu in Jaipur district.
