Bangalore: Several major works taken up at a cost of Rs. 5 crore have been executed without completing the normal tender process by Byatarayanapura City Municipal Council, according to the Residents Association of Virupakshapura. "We have complained to the Deputy Commissioner about this lapse and he has temporarily stopped the tender process, seized some documents and assured us of an enquiry. "We suspect collusion between engineers and politicians in this matter," said association president K.N. Jagadish Kumar on Tuesday. He said the CMC had overlooked an order from the Deputy Commissioner to allot land for use partly as a playground, a public library and a burial ground for scheduled communities.
