BANGALORE: The Subramanyanagar police have taken up a case against a man on a complaint by Milind Kharge, son of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president Mallikarjuna Kharge, for harassing a woman. According to the police, Mr. Milind, a software engineer, was dropping his colleague Preeti at her residence on 4th Main, Subramanyanagar, Rajajinagar I Block at around 10 p.m. In his complaint to the police, Mr. Milind said three persons who were on the second floor of the building where Ms. Preeti stayed, made some comments and picked a quarrel with him. Mr. Milind immediately approached the police. The Hoysala police, who reached the spot, took one of the accused, Vivek, into custody and subjected him to medical test at a hospital, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Malini Krishnamurthy. She told presspersons here on Wednesday that the police were looking for the other two accused. Vivek is said to be the son of a retired assistant commissioner of police.
