V.S. Krishna in last four

VISAKHAPATNAM: Dr. V.S. Krishna Govt. College and A.U. College of Arts and Commerce moved into the semifinals of the Andhra University `A' inter-collegiate volleyball tournament here on Thursday.

In the cricket tournament, Pankaj took five wickets to bowl Mrs. A.V.N. College to a 105-run win over Avanthi Degree College.

College of Arts and Commerce bt GITAM College of Engineering 25-23, 18-25, 20-18. League matches: AUCST bt GVP College (PG) 25-16, 25-19; AUCE bt Gowri Degree College 25-22, 25-22; AUCST bt AUCE 25-23, 22-25, 15-10; AUCAC bt PRISM College 25-14, 25-10; AUCAC bt Pydah College 25-13, 25-17.

Cricket: Mrs. A.V.N. College 196 in 24.2 overs (G. Raju 56, Y. Srikanth four for 39) bt Avanthi Degree College 91 in 21.4 overs (Pankaj five for 26).

Vidyaardhi Degree College 133 for four in 25 overs (N. Srinivasa Raju 47 n.o.) lost to GITAM College of Management Studies 134 for six in 16.3 overs.

M.V.R. Degree College 132 for nine in 20 overs bt AU College of Science and Technology 121 for six.

AQJ degree College 56 in 15 overs lost to PRISM College 59 for no loss in four overs.
