Land set aside for industrial units

    BELLARY: B. Sriramulu, Minister for Tourism, Textiles and Infrastructure Development, has promised that the Government would extend assistance for the growth and development of small-scale industries in the district.

    Speaking after inaugurating a one-day seminar on "Development of industries in Bellary district", at the industrial estate here on Friday, Mr. Sriramulu said 2,000 acres had been set aside to establish an industrial area.

    Under the cluster development programme, six common worksheds would be constructed in six villages of the district.

    Ramesh Dharmaji, general manager, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), stressed the need for entrepreneurs to come forward to set up units.
