New Delhi: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has called for a comprehensive strategy to tackle inflation. Attributing the current rise in inflation to the stagnating foodgrain production, CII President R. Seshasayee underlined the need to usher in a second green revolution to deal with rising prices. "While manufacturing, services and even infrastructure are showing growth, the continued stagnation of food production cannot be accepted any more," he said. Against popular perception that oil prices have lead to inflation, Mr. Seshasayee said that the primary commodities were propelling the current inflation.
