BANGALORE: By March 2007, 13 traffic junctions in Bangalore will have auditory signals to help those with visual disability, said Home Secretary Vatsala Vatsa at a review meeting here on Tuesday. When implemented, Bangalore will be the first city in the country to have this facility. This will be extended to all 168 signals in the city over the next six months. Transport Commissioner D. Tangaraj said the department was introducing more low-floor buses to make them more disabled-friendly.
