Two children killed in accident

Sangareddy: Five-year-old Keerthana and her cousin brother Kanakaiah, 13, were killed in an accident on the Ramayampet-Siddipet road on Tuesday. According to Bhoompally SI Surender they were hit by a jeep near Chittapur bus-stop. The driver was apparently trying to overtake a stationary bus near the bus-stop and the jeep ran over the children standing on the road side.

While Keerthana died on the spot, Kanakaiah died on the way to hospital. They were on the way to the pond to help their parents in washing cloths. The jeep driver was arrested.
