HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy reviewed the law and order situation in the State at an emergency meeting on Wednesday in the wake of protests by farmers and the decision by opposition parties to stage demonstrations during the next two days against the erratic power supply to the farm sector. He instructed the police to exercise maximum restraint following reports that some sections could be trying to attack sub-stations. Led by N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Telugu Desam Party is planning to hold dharna in front of sub-stations in Mahabubnagar district on Thursday.
