CHENNAI: The Children's Film Festival of Tamil Nadu (International) 2006, organised by International Tamil Film Academy and Seventh Channel, ended on Wednesday with an awards ceremony. The festival at South India Film Chamber in the city featured 14 films in three days. Films like Blue Bird, Don, Les Enfants du Pays, Amal and Will Never Come Back were received well, said Manicam Narayanan, festival director. The concluding film of the festival was Vitus. On the concluding day, the child artist Keerthana, who won the national best child artist award, announced the awards. The best film of the festival award went to Blue Bird (Dutch) produced by Egmond film and Television Company. Fredi M. Murer won the Best director award for his Swedish film Vitus. The best child artist award went to Elske Rotteveel in Blue Bird. Clemens Levert won a special mention for her role in Don. The best short film award was won by A stone throw.
