CHENNAI: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development is considering several proposals mooted by Tamil Nadu for clearance under the NABARD-SDC (Swiss Agency for Development and Co-operation) Rural Innovation Fund. K. V. Raghavulu, chief general manager of the NABARD's regional office, Chennai, told a workshop, on rural innovations and extension services, that the fund came into being on October 1 last year with a corpus of Rs. 145 crore. It would be in force for five years.
