KOZHIKODE: Business at Punjab National Bank (PNB) has crossed Rs.2,19,000 crore, S.P. Singh, zonal manager, Kerala, announced at a customer meet in Kozhikode on Thursday. One of the seniormost customers of the bank, P.K.S. Raja, scion of the royal family of Zamorins, erstwhile rulers of Kozhikode, spoke at the function. The IT initiatives taken by the bank had greatly improved its services. Centralised Banking Services (CBS), which provide anywhere anytime banking, had been implemented in 2,200 branches in the country, of which 74 branches are in the State, said S.M. Veerappan, deputy zonal manager. The bank had been recognised as a partner in the development of the North Kerala region by being designated as the official banker to the Malabar Shopping Festival, said N. Subramanian, senior regional manager, Kozhikode region. Senior managers C. Raveendranathan and Mohandas spoke.
