BMP starts vehicle verification

BANGALORE: With the new garbage contracts coming into force from January, the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) has started verification of vehicles that will be used by contractors to transport garbage. BMP's health officials, who started package-wise inspection of vehicles at the zonal level from Thursday, are verifying the certification of ownership of the vehicles — whether they are emission-tested and have all valid documents.
