Shillong: At least nine people were injured in two bomb blasts in gambling dens at Lad Rymbai in Meghalaya's Jaintia Hills district on Wednesday afternoon. According to state Home Minister R.G. Lyngdoh, the blasts occurred at around 2.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. respectively. In the first incident, seven persons were injured and in the second two. All the victims belonged to mixed ethnic groups, he said adding the first bomb was made of pellets while the second one of ball bearings. Wednesday's incident occurred barely a day after a crude bomb blast injured four persons in a garment shop in Shillong. PTI
