When life imitates art

When Roma reached the Press Club in Kozhikode on Wednesday afternoon, it looked like a scene straight out of her debut film, `Notebook.'

Her co-stars and director had already arrived and had begun talking to the reporters. So Roma was late, just like her character, Sarah Elizabeth.

In the film, the Chennai-based model-turned-actress plays a schoolgirl who is never on time and is forced to come up with excuses to explain to her friends and teachers on each occasion why she is late. During a chat, at the end of the press meet, she blamed it on the long journey on road for her late arrival.

"Though my flight from Chennai landed on time in Kochi, I had to wait for some time before I could get a taxi," she said, flashing that disarming smile. "And since I wasn't familiar with Kozhikode, I had to ask so many people for directions to reach this place. However, I was on time for all the other functions of `Notebook."
