Vizag blanks JNPT

VISAKHAPATNAM: Visakhapatnam, holder of the badminton title, blanked Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust in its inaugural league match and later scored an upset win in the hockey tournament beating last year's runner-up Mumbai, in the all-India Major Ports tournaments here on Friday.

The results: Badminton (league): Pool A: Visakhapatnam bt JNPT 3-0, Kandla bt Mormugao 3-0. Pool B: Cochin bt New Mangalore 3-0, Mumbai bt Chennai 3-0.
